CoroBot Overview
CoroBot was created to minimize the complexity of robot development. By combining a powerful PC-class platform with a robust, object-oriented software development system, robotic solutions can be rapidly developed and deployed. The CoroBot also assists the hardware developer with additional physical mounting space, ports, sensors and communication devices.
The CoroBot features extensive storage and powerful processing capacity, as well as operating system options of Linux or Microsoft. A USB WebCam and Wifi communication comes standard with the CoroBot, and a gripper arm is available in an advanced configuration.
The CoroBot is a low-cost highly capable robot that is being used both for education and as a research platform. It is one of the few robots available commercially that has a full PC (mini-ITX) computer on board which supports Microsoft Robotics Studio. This capability is ideal for advanced education.
A common use of the CoroBot is to develop a swarm of robots communicating over a local area network using 802.11g.
