K-Team announces a major new extension for Koala: a LED Range Finder. Thanks to this tool, Koala can build dynamic map of its environment, a task usually reserved to larger robot. For use on Koala, it requires to have KoreBot, K-Team linux-based miniature SBC.The LED range finder extension enables the Koala to map buildings.
This sensor can measure up to 121 distances in mm within a 180° arc for vertical obstacles. The device can detect obstacles from 0.2m up to 10m. Obstacle detection is influenced by the reflective nature of the obstacle.
This price includes an interface board with the Koala, but the KorebotLE is not included.
(Cannot be used with Pan-Tilt camera).
