About POB Technology

POB Technology (www.pob-technology.com) is a French company that designs and manufactures

mobile robots for use in education and "innovative leisure". RoadNarrows is POB-Technology's U.S. distributor for their line of robots and modules.

The POB-Eye module is the best-seller, giving roboticists an easy way to add vision capabilities to common platforms such as the LEGO NXT (TM), and RoboSapien (TM) using an intelligent camera with supported software. The open interfaces of their controller boards and well-designed modules allow users to create advanced robotic systems at minimal cost. The POB Tooth adds Bluetooth wireless capability, and coming soon is a WiFi module.

POB-Bot The POB-Bot robot was created by POB Technology to demonstrate the POB-Technology modules.

This package includes the POB-Eye, POB-LCD128 , POB-Proto , a small tracked base with DC motors, and a servo for camera panning. The Golden Pack also includes a gripper module.

POB-HexaPOB The POB-HexaPOB robot was created by POB Technology to demonstrate the versatility of the POB-Technology modules on a simple legged platform.

This package includes the POB-Eye, POB-LCD128 , POB-Proto , a hexapod base with servo-motors, and a servo for camera panning.

POB-Eye The POB-Eye is a camera module to add inexpensive computer vision and image processing capability to robotics. Its technical features allow the POB-Eye to recognize patterns as well as directing the robot. By providing digital I/O and I2C capabilities, the POB-Eye can communicate with several slave devices. A powerful and easy-to-use SDK is included, with pre-existing pattern recognition functions.

POB-LegoNXT POB Technologies has developed a POB-Bridge, which is a board dedicated to the Lego Mindstorm NXT from LEGO ®;. It allows you to build a bridge - an interface - between your Mindstorm NXT LEGO® and other robotic components (sensors, leds, POB-Eye). In addition, POB has designed a cage to interface a Futaba servo motor and Lego ® systems.

POB-Modules The POB Technology products include many add-on modules and accessories, such as a Bluetooth Module, Gripper, Pan-Servo Head Module for the POB-Eye, and a variety of controller boards.
