RoadNarrows exhibited at the 20th National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI-05) held from July 8th through July 13th, 2005 in Pittsburgh, PA. Conference attendees were from all over the world. RoadNarrows had active demonstrations of K-Team's Koala, Khepera, and Hemisson robots in action. Arrick Robotics' ARobot was also demonstrated. Cyberbotics' Webots modeling and simulation software complimented the demonstrations of K-Team's robots. There was considerable interest in the small education-class robot Hemisson from AI educators. The Hemisson robot comes pre-built with a nice set of available accessories to support a variety of research projects or classroom assignments. The Hemisson and Khepera robots were given as examples in the AAAI-05 tutorial “Pyro: A Tool for Teaching Robotics and AI” by Holly Yanco and Doug Blank.
