About GCtronic

GCTronic (www.gctronic.com) is active in the fields of electronics, robotics, mechatronics and computer science. The company is a member of the Swiss Mobile Robotics Consortium, and devoted to electronic and mechatronic development. GCTronic, founded by Dr. Gilles Caprari, is a spin-off of the Autonomous System Lab at the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne) where it acquired a deep knowledge in miniature mobile robotics and in highly integrated systems. It is based in Ticino, in southern Switzerland.

GCTronic manufactures the popular educational mobile robot E-puck developed by EPFL-ASL, and is available in the U.S. through RoadNarrows Robotics.

e-puck

The e-puck is an educational mini robot developed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) for teaching purposes. The e-puck is powered by a dsPIC processor and features a very large number of sensors in its basic configuration, including a camera, 3-D accelerometer, proximity sensors, and microphones. It has a built-in wireless BlueTooth radio and various LED's and a speaker. The e-puck hardware and software is fully open source (www.e-puck.org) providing low-level access to every electronic device and offering unlimited extension possibilities.
